Ukrainian F3J team in Corfu'2000. We use Volz servos for Graphite
|
READY TO FLY |
| Exceptionally light wingloading, very high strength and unusually sensitive handling characteristics combine to make the Graphite a formidable F3J/TD competition ship. The wing will take full winch launches or strong F3J towes, and the light wingloading and efficient planform results in very low sinkrate and extended flight range. Landing is easy and makes the Graphite and exceptional spot lander. | ![]() |
|
A combination of the newest technologies and techniques
is applied to this model to achieve the highest strength with the lowest
weight (1160g!) .
What makes this ready to fly F3J model Graphite so different from all the others? First of all, this is the best quality you can ever get. All the parts fit perfectly together and the installation of the radio is a matter of an hour. Spare parts will be delivered upon your request. Free of charge on-line support for the customers. Due to correct choice of the wing profile MH-32 and small weight, Graphite F3J can fly slowly or quickly without any problem in any weather. Control devices are flaps, ailerons, V-tail.
The moulds for Graphite are made of aluminum with CNC equipment and CAD/CAM technology is applied. This leads to the strict accuracy of model elements and extreme validity of the airfoils. |
For Graphite-contest we make original construction of the stabiliser. It is done with D-Box technology and its weight with joiners is 60-65g only!! The model with such a stabiliser doesn't need any balast in the front fuselage. |
The radome for the flaps' and ailerons' controls are made of carbon.
One of the most unique features of the Graphite are the wingtips. They are combination of technologies and building techniques that result in a very light and extremely rigid structure. To make the F3J wings light and stiff the new technology with Kevlar-Carbon mix D-box is used. |
The center section of the three-piece wing is hollowing
molded and gel-coated. The flaps are precut with living hinges and
wipers preinstalled. All molded parts of the Graphite are moulded from
fiberglass and carbon fiber and have a Herex sandwich. This structure is
light and very strong. The center wing section has a full-length spar and
will not bend on launch.

We twisted the wing tip to improve the aerodynamic characteristics.
Thus we reduce interference drag and increase angle of sall.
|
The wingtip has a D-tube leading edge constructed from balsa ribs that are cap-stripped with carbon fiber. The leading edge is then sheeted with Kevlar/Carbonfibercloth. The full depth spar is vertical balsa capped with CF top and bottom and Kevlar thread is wrapped around the whole spar structure. The carbon longerons of special quality provide super strength. The outer panels are connected to the inner panel with a removable CF wing joiner. All plastic elements of the wing are made with high pressure and temperature of 150C. |
| The wing tip is covered with transparent Oracover. The accuracy of fit is perfect here as it is throughout the Graphite. By this technology we achieved super strength and rigid with the weight of wing tip only 168g. (without joiner). Due to this light weight the wingtips have very low inertia and the Graphite handles with agility and will signal the lightest lift. |

The fuselage is gel-coated with
removable nosecone and front fuselage. If you would ever have a crash you
need to replace just one part without replacing of the whole fuselage.
The fuselage is molded from a combination of Kevlar and Carbon fiber cloth and is very rigid, strong and surprisingly light (280g. only!). It is completed with the kevlar balast tube. |

The nose has a special block where you can locate 10-16 accumulators. The nose with the block of accumulators is screwed with one bolt to the fuselage. It is very convenient for change of the accumulators and such construction provides strength and correct installation of the nose with motor. | ![]() |

For Graphite-Electric you can place servos under the stabiliser, but for it, you must use moulded stabiliser. | ![]() |
